Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspection Technician to ensure that all products and inspection activities meet quality and safety standards through rigorous inspection and testing processes. The Inspection Technician will be responsible for examining, testing, measuring, and evaluating equipment and materials to identify defects, corrosion, or deviations from specifications in accordance with applicable industry standards and procedures.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Shall be a diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, High School Graduate, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry is required.
- Shall have qualification equivalent to ASNT Level II in two (2) or more Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as:
- RT (Radiographic Testing)
- MT (Magnetic Particle Testing)
- PT (Penetrant Testing)
- UT (Ultrasonic Testing)
- Shall be fully conversant with the relevant Articles of ASME Section V and other applicable ASTM / BS codes related to NDT.
- Shall possess working experience in WFMPI and/or Tank Floor Scanning using MFL technique.
- Knowledge in thickness survey using thickness meters is essential.
- Experience in inspection during construction of pipelines, storage tanks, and pressure vessels will be preferred.
- Good command of English language, both written and spoken, is required.
- Shall be able to compile NDT examination data and interpret results accurately, including preparation of inspection reports and recommendations.
- Shall be computer literate and possess a valid driving license.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform NDT inspections in accordance with approved procedures and international standards.
- Conduct thickness measurements and corrosion monitoring activities.
- Carry out inspection activities for pipelines, storage tanks, and pressure vessels during construction and maintenance phases.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Interpret NDT results and provide technical recommendations when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and client representatives during inspection activities.

- Strong knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as RT, MT, PT, and UT.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, inspection procedures, and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of ASME Section V, ASTM, and BS standards related to inspection and NDT activities.
- Experience in thickness measurement, corrosion monitoring, and tank floor scanning techniques.
- Ability to identify defects, analyze inspection results, and provide accurate recommendations.
- Familiarity with inspection activities for pipelines, storage tanks, and pressure vessels.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inspection reporting systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control requirements in Oil & Gas environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in field/site environments.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to work sites if required.
